aye about an inch from the sidestand plug, at the top where it plugs into the connection for the loom, lop it off, bare the wires about 10mm, twist them together, then isolate with electrical tape, and cable tie / tape to frame out of the way. That'll sort it.

Hi guys, I've looked in my Haynes manual and can't get my head around it...
The problem is the bike cuts out when I put the kickstand down, even in neutral.
There seams to be no visual problem with the switch above the kickstand (ie good contact and free movement) and it also cuts out when in gear, what part of the kick stand setup tells it to stall the bike because its in gear (guessing that's where my fault is)???
Any ideas on the matter would be hugely appreciated. Thanks
I'm pretty sure you can bypass it by connecting the two wires which go into the stand switch, not 100% sure but i think that is the case, something like that if theres more than two though.
