just read about the proposed eu laws wot utter crap are they just trying to @uck the working classes or what who can afford to buy new cars/bikes every few years? what happens when you want to part ex a good car /bike sorry mate 10 years old its only good for scrap! classics would be good for what? show only .these polititions talk out of there arse.about 18 years ago i whent on the magna carter raley .this was about having side air bags to motorbikes there was a mass  demo in trafalger squere .luckerly it got through out ,hopfuly if every one sticks together so will this the same as the rest of the stupid rules..............ps sorry about spelling i have lost my spell check

They have got a point though mate. They're being extreme but think about it logically.

We CANNOT just keep making newer and newer cars!

Think about what is happening. The amount of cars on the roads nowadays is ridiculous!

We just keep buying new cars and selling the old ones on to other people and then they do the same.

The only cars that really get destroyed are cars that are not fit for the road.

Nowadays cars are built to last. So we are seeing an end to the days of rust filled cars. Cars are having a longer lifespan and thus are not getting destroyed to make way for new cars to be put on the road.

We've either got to do one or the other.

We STOP buying new cars and just stick with our old ones until they need scrapping.

Or

We start scrapping cars of certain age to make way for new ones.

Now I'd prefer to keep things the way they are. Just have it for as long as we need it. But unfortunately it isn't going to work forever.

Something has to be done and this is just one solution.

I don't want it to happen as I said but i'm not a politition.

my concern is its not just cars .they have more or less killed of the two stroke! i was brought up on them suzuki gp 100, kwak ar 125, kmx 200, yam dt 125 mx, dt 125 lc, dt125 mk 1 ypvs, my last 4 bikes were yam fz1000 suzuki gsxr 1100 fighter yam trx 850 the best sounding 4 stroke i have ever had (devil exhausts)and the most uncomfortable seat suz 1200 bandit stolen (#asterds)but after all these bikes i still love two strokes and after getting a divorce.........................never trust something that bleeds for a week and dont die ...........i want to come back to the two stoke fold

Yeah it's a killer.

I'm wondering the same thing myself. I'm building an awesome DT but fear that it won't be long till they stop production on the two smoke.

It's a kat world we live in.

i think it was oldskool suzuki? it was when i had my 11 fighter not one of my most reliable bikes looked the dogs but ran terrable it would go like joe @uck for a few miles then run like it was missing on two ! had it on the dyno twice and both times they could not find anything wrong with it..joind a forum and was told to check every thing from the cdi coils leads you name it swapped it for a trx 850 (best sounding 4 stroke ever devil pipes) and the lad i did a swap with found out it was the petrol tap durrrrrrrrrrrrr !! when it was dynoed the tank was disconnected and set up with a suspended tank so thats why it was not picked up.
