Not if it's specifically stolen for parts. They garage it and strip same day as they have 10 other stolen ones to ride lol

So you'd buy it hoping only chavs and not pikeys steal it disbelief

With the DT being a major theives favourite, and members on here constantly reporting their bikes nicked, it got me thinking about how frustrating and infuriating it is knowing the police aint much help, and going out looking yourself can be like looking for a needle in a hay stack.

Then i had a brain wave, lol, what if i could see exactly where my bike is? And through the power of ebay...i found this..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Car-Vehicle-Tracker-GPS-GSM-GPRS-Portable-Tracker-Track-Tracking-Device-/200851101681?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item2ec3a897f1

What do you reckon? This is only a cheap one, but might be worth a look, and you get the idea. Find your bike, and get to dish out some justice at the same time! :D

You may have found something there mate. I like the dishing out justice part, Hiding in a bush next to a path with a baseball bat and phone in hand praying that little blue dot starts heading in your direction!!!

I wish, but realistically it's like putting £35 in an envelope for them as they'll just strip it off and sell it too

That one hasn't got a built in battery. Or at least I didn't read it had. As soon as they take the battery off it becomes useless. If that were me iD put in a back up power supply. Plus. I'm sure these aren't free services. You'll need to pay some sort I subscription for the service.

Its smart though. You can do it with an old iPhone. They're tracked. And use an old sim so you don't have to pay.

Lol I know i'm not saying it's a bad idea, not at all. Just has it's risks like everything.

I still find the best way to find it after is to know the people who locally steal bikes ;)

Mate that's the way forward. No point provoking them. Winds me up though. Especially these adds people put up about bikes for sale. So obvious bike is nicked.

lol seiki gonna go kill bill on there ass ! well u prob got 40/60 chance of pros stealing to chavs depending on the area u live. pros tend to go for bigger bikes super sports ect aswell as there worth alot more to them. dts are a chavs wet dream n they got like 4 brain cells. the last thing there gonna think is that a dt 125 will have a gps tracker on it. so there more likly gonna have a good rag about on it before they butcher it to make it look like some **** field bike theve owned for ages.. maybe even make a concealed compartment in the rear of the seat with its own self contained power supply?

or to save the hassle just sleep with it whilst clutching a 12bore...

Thats just a cheap example, for the same price you could get this battery powered one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Spy-Car-Vehicle-Tracker-Tracking-Device-for-GSM-GPRS-GPS-System-/300740323232?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item46058527a0

But im sure for a bit more $ you could find one that wired in, but with battery back up.

Im not sure about service fees, i just presumed that the sim you put in it would need credit to send you sms and data etc.

Think some insurance companies offer a discount if you have one fitted , might off set some of the cost
