Right Guys and Girls.. for all you hard gamers out there....

Im debating (YES I SAID DEBATING) wether to get a 360 or PS3, now whats your verdict!

I've had 2 360's before and i own a Wii (well the kids do) and my DVD player has packed up..

Do i go for a 360 or a 320gb Slim PS3 as it's got built it Blu-Ray??

seeing as i got a few quid left over xmas i thought i would treat myself!!

Looking at buying 2nd hand with a few crappy games so will be buying an extra controller, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Hitman, GT5 and F1 tomorrow so need some help within the next 12 hours!!!

Will leave it up to you, i've also put a Poll up!!

if you get a xbox then if you have any slight interest in cars then get forza horizon. epic game ! and obviously buy mx vs atv alive no matter wat ya get.

360 defiantly, blu-ray is so over rated and nearly everyone with a console has a 360 rather than a PS3

PS3s get boring, 360s got internet explorer now anyway, only good thing about ps3 is free online gaming, but for the £31 for xbox live its worth it

If your going pre owned I'd advise getting the xbox 360 slim, any older and its quite likely that as soon as you buy it your be fixing it

Hitman absolution isn't as good as the old ones from reviews, was going to get it myself being a big hitman game fan but not gonna bother because of that

Slight interest in cars? If you have any interest in cars then gran turismo 5 is your game. With well over 1000 cars I'm sure you'll find something you'll fancy. If you asked this question upon the release of both I would have said Xbox. It was far more diverse. If you asked me now. Ps3 all the way. The original release was shocking. But through updates the playstation has become a far superior console. Plus you get a Blu ray player. and most games can be foud on both. Rather have it on a better graphics console. Free online gaming too. Both good in their own right and both are now becoming out dated. However the ps3 is more advanced on a hardware side of things so isn't as out dated as the Xbox.

the better graphics thing always comes up! lool you really wont be able to tell so it doesnt matter, if u want blu ray buy a bluray player, will be far better than the one in the ps3

ps3 online is awful too, nobody has mics which makes it boring to play

Lol. The blu ray player is the same one fitted to samsungs Blu ray player so I can't see how that is terrible.

Online isn't as good. But it's free. I don't like playin online. But when I fancy having a bash I don't really want to pay for it.

And the graphics are so noticeable. Just play gran turismo 5 and compare it forza. Huge difference. Try playing games like mgs4. Graphics will beat any of tht on Xbox

Plus the playstations blu ray player is also a 3d Blu ray player.

And it upscales normal DVDs.

And you get iplayer itv. Use a larger variety mics.

ps3 is better for online if you dont play all the time, but no one has mics compared to xbox which is just boring haha

and the ps3 controller, anyone who prefers that over the 360 controller must have tiny baby hands LOL its far too small

and its not fair to compare the graphics of 2 different games, forgotten most of the good stuff i know about xboxs as im not really interested now

as for apps xbox has sky and lovefilm, few others now i think but havent gone on in ages

Yeah. You'll struggle to notice the graphics between two same games. But the playstation does have superior graphics

To say that about its controller is rediculous. Since the 360 controller is based on the playstation controller. Although its missing the pressure sensitive controller and six axis.

it might have started off based around the ps1 controller but its far better now, fits your hands properly and joy sticks are much easier to use, bumper and trigger buttons are also better on the xbox imo

and tbh, graphics shouldnt be an issue on consoles, they are both **** quality anyway, once you play the same game maxed out in full res on a pc, you can see they are awful haha

i personally use my ps3 a lot more than my 360 but there pretty much the same apart from getting the odd franchised games the other console doesnt get . 360 controller feels better for fps shooters ps3 is free online not much in it as far as playing on a game
i like my dx11 pc running max settings on all games with a 360 pad mostly an it looks astounding.

To be fair I think what it comes down to is. How many friends play what console. Not much fun on either console if no mates play it.

just to add my thoughts in if u get a 360 has to be brand new there 2 **** and brake way to much thats why i wont buy one all my mates have had many many many 360s all got sick of it so now own ps3s like myself i have a first gen and had it years doesnt miss a beat. blue ray is ****ing epic when watching speed racer or any outher graphic intence film lol


but the main fact is **** off these ****ty consoles get a pc and play games how there sopost to be played non of this aim assist bollock

The same can be said about the playstation though. They're still prone to yellow light. It's like anything. If you maintain your console it'll last. Change the thermal paste every year and clean it out ad it'll go on forever.

My mega drive still works :D

Pc is too expensive.

my pc cost me £500 to build around 4 years ago and plays all the top games still. most people have a pc anyway and £250 can upgrade it to play new games.

360s cost how much? say £150ish ok now most people have had 2 as one brakes so thats 300 on 2 xboxes plus the 4 years at £31 a year is £123.


so £423 over 4 years plus most people have had more then 2 and the games cost around a tenner more expensive then a pc plus pc's graphics are 100 times better now what is really expensive.

Haha you're not the only one man I know a lot of people who hate them! but I honestly don't think I'd go back to a windows computer! I'd only do it if I wanted it for gaming
