Who's got the best dt125

Although I will stick my neck out here and say that when the bike I'm doing at the minute is finished,(TZR Belgarda engine in a DTR frame) I reckon it will make bike mags, The frame and swingarm alone is going to cost £500 to get done. that's shotblasted, powdercoated, then Hydrographiced. The panels will cost about £600 too. But that probably wont make it the best bike in here, as it probably won't be everyones cup of tea.

oohh that looks tasty that does m8 whats it from?? i thought about wrapping my dt but i decided i wanna go bit more traditional with the finish want it look almost like it came out the factory but with extra mods too but it it still wont resemble anything that yamaha have ever thought about for the dt, kinda sucks dick that the areox or jog rr ... PEDS!! got the special anniversary colours and decals ect aswell as quite a few of there other models but the dt got **** all in the way of racing colours n that and surly yam done quite well out of the dt : ( its down to us lads to show the dt some love : D lol

oh apart from the RE that got the limited edition stefan everts coulours but wasnt very exciting imo and not as nice as what yam have for the other models across the range

when i get a new key bord sorted my for my pc im gonna get on and download a  cad programme to design my own bits, iv been making some new barfeed bar channels for one of our machines as the old ones are worn to **** n fallen apart. the maunfacture wanted over 700 quid for replacements!...so my boss got me machineing up  new ones out of black nylon square bar, iv got a big chunk left over n im gonna see if i can use it to make chain slides for the swinger, worn white/scummy yellow ones wont do for my build, but fresh new black ones would be awesome! and go with the colour scheme haha!!!

Now then Bradders, that tank ain't wrapped its dipped and lacquered, you need a base coat, then it gets dipped/ hydrographically over the top, that's what I'm doing with my frame but red, and panels too, but dark graphite grey carbon. Now d'ya see where I'm coming from? lol

Btw that tank was done by the place thats doing my frame after its been powdercoated.places in Poole.Dorset.

Every lads bike in here is the best bike, in one way or another, especially if its been built from the ground up, like I said to my lad when I first got mine as the blue bike, you get out of something what you put into it.

You can Eze mate, armed with a camera/phone to take pics of the strip down, so when putting it all together its there for your reference, a decent manual, with certain bits printed off and put into a folder, exploded part views are really handy as they often show the sequence stuff goes on to. I reckon 4-5 months ball park should do a decent renovation. It took me much longer than that, but I have health issues that put my time to about 9 months.

I'd say nev's is the best bike on here eze.

I've read through his build thread and it's incredible. He's gone to such lengths and made it completely unique. There's loads of little touches that make his bike stand out. For example the way he took off the spring on his shock and had it painted green. Or the front brake bracket which is green. Or the powerhouse that is his engine.

Beats most bikes on here hands down.

Seikis bikes wicked as well. As well as bradders.

It's the way you make it the best for the rider, my bike was an image in my head, and my 200 engines blueprints were until I put the plan in action, I like seikis, never, bladders supermoto and how they are built, but trail bikes are.much style

A fair few say Supermoto is rubbish, and Enduro is better, and a fair few say Enduro is rubbish and Supermoto is better, it's often a matter of taste, but if I can try and put it in some form of perspective, seeing as I can have either set up within half an hour of each other, I'd say Enduro set up on the DT is much better for handling off road than on road, and the Supermoto wins hands down for road handling over the Enduro set up, pretty much says it all, now depending on how much you need one set up over the other would dictate on which set up you'd have. and at the end of the day its all about the aesthetics of the bike.

ahhh cant wait to get mine done! lol
i love both sm and enduro but i found the dt was jus not up to the job when it came to proper enduro riding green laning was ok but still not great, necer ridden an sm dirtbike so im jet to seicover what thats like lol but i found my dt was wkd on the road even on enduro setup so i jus thought if its this gd as enduro itll be mental as an sm on the road

i know what u mean "only way" by ur bike was an image in your head mine is atm lol keep picturing it all the time and it jus gets better ha! wish i could transfer the image out my head into digital form, in some kind of magical wizardry way not photoshop! lol

i know im being bias and hope i dont sound like a big head (coz i hate big' eds lol ) but i really think when done mine will be one badass machine and wipe the floor with most dt's ; p

lol jus reading this back i sound like a **** sorry lol

Totally with ya there Bradders, I have a pic in my minds eye of this new build, my mate who owns and designs Coit lane custom bikes back up in Sheffield is mocking up for me using CAD and photoshop after I gave him my ideas on the bike, hes been trying to send me the mock up hes come up with but is having probs sending it me, once he does I'll put it up on here, as I really would appreciate any feedback on what you lads reckon.

By the way Bradders check this out, any good for your bike?
