Lol. That idea is seriously flawed. I'm more than certain you'll cause more damage. But that said i think it's a clever idea.

fill it with water and block the ends up tight, then wack it in the freezer overnight lol

please do explain how it will cause damage? some expansion chambers are blown out with pressurised air when they are made, water doesnt expand rapidly or by much when frozen and with the dent being a weak point it will push it out???

Could try blocking all holes and using a plunger I know it will work on petrol tanks not sure about exhausts worth a try tho mate

Same reason as to why we put anti freeze in our coolant. By your logic there's no need to add anti freeze.

no, with there being a dent the water can expand to pop it out, water in the cylinder has no where to go and obviously locks the piston, theres a lot of different ways to remove the dents tho, should do it to my pipe but im not that fussed about it lol

already tried the water idea its outside thawing now the only other way is to bung up one end and use a tyre valve in the other get the compressor and heat up the dent so eventually pops out?

Put a loaf of bread in it with bacon powder & it will expand. I've seen seaguls blow up from it. So it should work. If not, the other solution i can point out is taking a big fat **** in it block both ends & shake ít for 5 minutes. Once done so, Unblock pipe & pour the **** in to a glass & drink it. Usually helps

the water trick can work as the water freeze it expands and pops out dent .. some say it can also pop welds so unsure

the air trick also can work but you need to clamp each side and seal well heres a kit  air clamp kitt for dents bet some one could make one cheaper
