sorry not been on for a day or 3 lol

the seals are only designed to go 1 way round anf the right side is a must, but that would be oil leak nor air, most air leaks are on the inlet track, normallt 1 is people pop the carb in the inlet mouth and forget to do the clamp up, orforget to put the gasket on b4 the reed cage, or only other places are the crank seal and the base gasket

an air leak can destroy an engine in seconds especiually if took to high rpm

best thing to do is get every thing back to std and give the engine a once over, check all sealing surfaces, make sure every thing is tight, check crank seals, and for splits along the casting mark on the underside of the inlet manifold/rubber as this is a comon hairline split forms in the join sucking air in making it squeel

dont be dishartened tho theres a fix for every thing /just godda find out what needs fixin ;-0

Ive been told if you take the inlet off you MUST renew the gasket on in!
