Tricky one to post this one. What section do I post it in?
That's not my question lol.
My question is this.
The boost bottle. Sits in the inlet. Personally I like the styling of the LC. More specifically the boost bottle.
If you look at the boost bottle on the lc it has YEIS printed on it.
Now if you think about what the boost bottle does and how it works my logic tells me that fitting an lc boost bottle wouldn't work as well as the standard boost bottle.
If you think that it inducts air at a certain frequency. The frequency at which it inducts air equals the natrual frequency of the bottle. Thus no bottle will work other than the bottle that has been designed to resanate.
Does anyone know if the LC's boost bottle works on a dtr? I'm sorry for the inconsistency of this thread im on my iPhone. Cba to boot the comp back up.
It should fit but does it work?
If no one knows then I'll answer it by buying one and experimenting!
The tzr 4dl uses the same shape on as the DT125 LC's of the 80's. The earlier DTR's also used that shape. Don't know what that tells you. Could be that they re dsigned it and got it right, could be that the older one is a better power and the later ones restrict slightly.
4DL boost bottle is the 3BN-13581-00-00 same as all the 88 DTR bikes, although the 93 UK 4HW TZR used the 4FL-13581-00, after 1988 the 3ET-13581-00 went on all bikes DTR's and DTRE'S, and DTX's
