Joining rubber?

my bike is missing the piece of rubber that stops the exhaust leaking gases where the end can and the expansion chamber pipes join

would the rubber from a standard exhaust fit?

thanks

Rather than welding the two pipes together, could you not weld on a 1"-2" length tube 'collar' for the end pipe to sit inside, then add the rubber over both to seal it all up?

Quick question about this too, I baught a dep front pipe for £20 but the end pipe is the same diameter as the pipe on my big one can, is it worth welding it together or can I get a rubber to join them?

Didnt think of that, but there is like a mm difference on there outside diameter of each pipe so I would need a sort of 'step down' for the coller to sit properly on the end can? Or get really lucky and put the coller on the end can and hope the inside diameter of the coller is the same as the outside of the dep ?

measure the diameter ,then go to the scrappy and get some radiator hose from a car that's about the same diameter, you can make about 6 of them from one piece and they last ages ,couple of jubilies, happy days never worry again wink...them original ones are pricey as fook doh
