Mines was cracked when I got the bike. Made a lens out off plexiglas and siliconed it on with clear silicon. Can't see it cracking for a while!

I used perspex on it for about 6 months. Then i needed to get it mot'd lol. Got a feeling it wouldn't have passed lol.

If its a small crack see what auto glass offer. Those head lights are rare and expensive!

I got through the MOT with mines callum, but I think it's cause the place I go to are not a bunch of nob heads, that are often at main dealers purely looking for trade. £100 to get a new one from Yamaha as they don't do the lens seperate. Mines as got A nice lens shape to it where the bulb has heated it up!

Yeah. I've been using this place for years and they're pretty sound.

At the end of the day they know there is no business from me. I rock up on a tricked out DT that i've built myself. I'm hardly going to ask them to fix the MOT failures lol.

Do it myself thank you very much. All you've managed to accomplish is a 15 minute slot that you have to put me in at no cost.

Thanks for all your advice ppl , Ive had the bike 7 yrs now n in all that time its broke twice in the last year , i know im not over tightenin it as its only held in place by 2 posi screw bolts so not really and its a vertical crack on both ! might just be able to see them in pic but im no photographer lol .
As to rarity i only just got the last one in time for previous MOT , think it was from a guy on ere near worksop not Norfe tho !
Think i paid £30 for it as the guy had bought it by mistake if i remember rightly A J Sutton wanted £90ish for a new one n that aint happenin !
Looks like im gonna be visitin the FOR SALE thread frequently ... DAVE

If the DTR headlight fits your DTX then i've got one mate. I can get pics if you need. I'd think they'd be the same fit? Be silly if they wearn't...

like most none standard there is only two bulbs so realy easy to wire up some times you may need to cut the old wires or plugs but easy done . maybe harder if you go for something with led.s

Can either use the bracket supplied or use the rubber straps supplied , you will want to change the bulb as the ones that come with are are useless

yeah not many wires and you could either make up some connections or just snip and save the ends not hard to rewire them back in at a later day .
