lol @ weld it on...... done that in past to field bikes also with kick starts lol easy fast fix but a real fcker if you need to take casings of ect

great with old steel levers take the bolt out and tap top with hammer close the gap more for tighter fit .... or one or two old nails or tacks tapped in then tighten up can help it grip tighter

If you slice a small amount from the gap that tightens up when the bolt is in you can make it tighter and ur only changing the lever not the engine happy days

my mates did it we banged a tiny piece of apple pie tinfoil rapping between the lever and shaft and boom good as new

should carry a 12v welding kit just in case lol check out my youtube video on how to ..........never tried this with a bike battery but works great with a car batt
