Thermostat problems

So, on both my bikes now the thermostat has failed and caused the bike to run unusually hot. The pin that guides the inside comes out and gets stuck so the thermosat either cant open or gets jammed. It's pissing me off. I've just had the rebuild done and put in the bike but didn't wanna run it without a thermostat.

why would it be doing it? Especially to happen twice.. Is it a common problem?

Run it without till you can get a genuine one ,it will just run cooler for now, are you bleeding the coolant when you put it back in ????

I've taken it out for now. Nah I haven't, I fill it up, run it and then leave the cap off and let it bleed?

just take the thermostat out and chuk it over yur shoulder.....

refit the housing and ride the bike....

just make sure u give the bike a good stedy warm up when ever you ride it

all the thermosat does is close off the coolant system at the head....opens when it gets warm then lets the coolant circulate the whole circit
