no mate u get a letter of manufacture from suzuki uk from the frame and engine numbers and then u get an age related plate pal
DONT DO IT. LOL unles ur pockets are deep and u only want to ride it for an hour a week
mx bikes are for racing not for road use i learned that verry fast lol i new it like but u always trick utr sen it will be ok coz u want it ull be better sticking wit the dtr at least u can ride that all day every day as normal
nope no oil pump, its just an rm mate sum 1s put a lighting kit on no engine mods, wit that back sprocket on and wheels it will do about 60 mph and scream its tits off on the road and feel like ur riding a bike shaped jelly....
they do look nice but the engines are built to run flat out for 15-20 mins seshions then sit for an hour then blast aagin then rebuild
from running in a new top end then having a few hours out on the road the engines dont last at all, i went thru 3 new replated bores and about 5 pistons in 5 month
replated bore and piston is about 200 a time for a decent piston aswell
just put a picture up on ur wall of it and keep the dtr lol
You'd would have to actually go about restricting the bike to make it suitable for road use. Then you would literally end up with a ktm road bike. The dt all the way IMO
I got 1800 for mine 18 months ago it was a 2007 RM125K7 model registered for the road from new on a 56 plate. My mate sold his alloy frame road legal 05 YZ125 on a 54 plate for 1600.
You dont need to restrict them for road use at all, the engines are miles stronger than a DT, all you need to do to them is set the carbs up for enduro, trail use. I put a piston kit a year in my old RM and it never missed a beat ever. It was set up so good you could potter along at 30mph just like you can on a DT. The stick mine got trail riding and racing enduro a DT would have fell apart after an hour..... no kidding.....
Yeah if you set them up right and gear it properly and dont be daft with them like holding it flat out for 3 mile, my mate uses his 60 plate KTM 125 EXC for work every day with L plates on it with no probs. I know its an enduro bike but it still has mx power its the gearbox thats the difference Calum.
Horses for courses, I never used my RM on the road much anyway I raced it. Might have had a blast to the shop now and again. It had to be set up well for road sections over the moors etc.
