so started work on seans engine tonight not looking good. org came for a top end job but its seriously pauly lol
piston ,bore worn out, pison slap caused piston to shatter at skirt, crack running up piston intake side, small end / pin bearing worn out, got real hot sent pin blue, big end has play, main bearings worn out and rumbling when rotating
plug was oily /black probly rite side seal leaking
Looks like the same thing that happened to mines so would love to see the work being done. I got one of those double lipped seals of simply bearings. How will I know which way round is the crank side.
got shauns engine raped today, all ready for new bits cumming, cases painted & LAkkered
usual dtr problem crank seals gone as u can see in pic and magnito side was raised out of the case, not put in probly or 2 much pressure in crank cases forced it out
norfe text me today saying he has the barrel and the crank back from where ever he sent them, so i assume he will be busy putting the engine back to gether over the next week. i am sticking a pic of the engine norfe recived so you guys can see the work this guy does.
Great work as always., Don't mean to jack the thread, just need some clarification. Have you ever found that this bearing can go in by hand? I had to put a bit of Lock tight on and it seems sloid it's a 6302. Just want to know befor I begin building lol!
int that the bearing the selector drum goes thru??? is that the correct bearing as the bearing on the selector drum is fitted on b4 the detecnt star is welded on ?????
I see !!! knew I was being a total idiot lol and something wasn't right. Been so long since I stripped the enggine and the bearing just went In there like it was suppposed to be there. My mind set has been hole = bearing lol. Would have been in for a shock when I went to put it together lmao.
gunna say u plank u boggled my mind then ha ha, yhat bearing is the output shaft int it in the right casing..heat it up with blow torch to loosen the thread lock and tap it out
Ha Ha lol par for the course for me lol. Its one of the balancer shaft bearings cause I had two of the same kind for some reason, thats what started the confusion. It actually fills the hole perfectly. I was speaking to an engineer at work who hadn't seen it and he said a bit of thread lock will do, won't tell him the truth though

i blew my dt up ... but i fixed it.... Then i crashed it.... but i didnt fix it right and 2 scouser's come in the middle of the night and left me with a working bike
The engine is all done now, so i need to get it sent back, but had to pay for a driving corse because i got caught using my phone whilst i was driving, so that took my money i had stashed away for postage. when the engine arrives home i will post some completed pics (or norfe might beat me to it). just a huge compliment in norfes direction, been incredably easy to do buisness with, allways been avalable to help when i had stupid questions etc, if any of u guys are considering norfe for your engine works, then do it. u wont be dissapointed. Thanks again mate, and dont forget to get yourself some "tizer". u northan boys love tizer right?
