I wont mention any names yet as its unfair if he is indeed genuine
but ive bought a carb front piece from someone on here, paid feb 17th and the carb bit was apparently posted out to me first class on the 18th, however, still no carb bit after a long wait.
so i messaged him numerous times, and he wasnt replying, took him around 4-5 days to get a reply to me and he said it must of gotten lost in the post and if it didnt turn up soon hed send me out another one (he apparently had another one exactly the same sitting around)
he apparently got that replacement one sent out first class recorded this time and said it left friday, however, ive got no tracking number and its now tuesday and still no part.
its only £20 but thats not the point i dont get alot of money and dont fancy being ripped off
thanks for reading, opinions on what i should do?

I would just ask for a refund mate. If he says no, name him and shame him so no one else gets ripped of. I hate scammers, so many of them about on forums.
the carb bit was apparently sent first class standard the first time and then recorded the second time, but i havent recieved a tracking barcode even when asking him and sending multiple messages
whats even more alarming, is after a bit of googling and searching, the account i paid into, has the same surname as someone on here who had a username which said ''aka THIEF'' or something like that, i cant find the page again
He's in the 'Examples of bad traders' section if it the same person. Someone on here got his details once iirc but cant think who it was. Account and IP was banned last time and it'll be done again.
I'll send him a message, if it's not sorted by tomorrow he's gone. Try and get your money back through your bank and if you can be bothered try I hear it's a free service.

You can publicly share he details if no reply, I couldn't care less, shouldn't be ripping people off.
I reckon it's a good a time as any to implement new for sale section rules, sorry you became another stat
im up for doing donations to get your money back tom if everyone else wants to chip in .ive got a front part to but the maxture screw wont loosen you can have it for nothing just the postage
stillbroke, thats really generous of you matey, but ive got one myself that got the bolt siezed, i needed one with a freely turning air screw :/ i feel like an idiot for buying from him now
Tom it happens to the best of us, my old i.t teacher fell for an internet scam lol off all people to fall for one she worked with computers o.o lol

When I saw the name mr Appleby I thought of you toy!!!
Then I thought about it a bit more and I remembered who it was...
Me James Appleby his old username was 1990dtr (aka thief)
I was stitched up by him a while back for £35, took it to the police and they couldn't and wouldn't do anything about it so in the end I lost my £35..
I managed to work out from his mobile number, his exact address, he wasn't and doesn't live anywhere near Birmingham, hi lives Southampton way if I remember correctly!!
Anyway it room me about an hour from typing his mobile number into google to trace his exact address and get pictures of his house etc...
Ill try and dig out all the details again, give me 24 hours!!!
well i've been sending him private messages regarding a spare carb..but he was pissing about with me- and kept changing things!! glad i never sent him money then.. as it was approx 2-3 days before you posted your thread about needing carb bit.
f*chking mate scammers ! i got scammed £260 for an apple mac book through ebay ! nearly got scammed £200 for an iphone aswell but paypal sorted me out that time !
Never pay for anything with a bank transfer, I would tell the Police give them his account numbers and tell them hes done it to other people as it looks like hes bang at it, its fraud. At least if u paid with paypal u would get your money back in the end mate if the tracking number was not legit.
Looking at the picture in the scammers ad it looks like a brand new carb back laid on top of its original box. He probably got the picture from Google.
I wouldnt let this lie even though its only 20 quid I would push it with my bank and the Police, make an example of the f****r.
