Im pretty sure everyone will say run it on normal unleaded if you can, none of that premium shizzle, pretty sure its just a waste of money on our bikes and think it can cause problems, thicker if i remember rightly?? lol

You wont notice any difference, unless you're running a litre sports bike really so go for the cheaper stuff!

premium/super unleaded is higher octance so its supposed to be more resistant to detonation, only useful in high performance engines, i think!! lol

super unleaded is better, HOWEVER, you wont notice it in the DT, unless you get your head machined to a compression ratio higher than 12:1

Well, judging by your avatar, I find fitting a exhaust manifold works a charm. And getting rid of the BigOne silencer and replacing with a DEP will make your bike a lot faster, just running on unleaded.

I tried a tank full of the supper dupper stuf and my bike ran like a bag of ****e strait back to normal unleaded and she was singing like a good'n again save your money Yamaha designed the DT to run on the cheap stuff so stick to it

Yeah. If you go super unleaded it will put your jetting out. You'll need more air to compensate for the richer fuel. Its the same as the winter and summer. The bike should really be rejetted due to the denser air in the winter. But not many people are really that anal lol. It takes a lot of faffing around getting it right.

Maybe having two carbs setup would be good. One for winter one for summer.
