hey guys as it says above will a trz barrel fit a dtr? i need a barrel for mine as the piston has let go and machine shop said its not worth repairing. so iv checked ebay and seen a tzr barrel so will it fit? it looks different.. cheers
I believe i read somewhere that the exhaust port studs are in different positions on the TZR barrel, which would cause problems with an aftermarket front pipe. I can't remember if the bracket on the standard front pipe is fixed or movable.
Yes mate will fit i got tzr topend on dtr bottom end only issues r cos head n barrrll different shape n size its really tight against frame at front really tight lol and where yeis boost bottle goes is tight against top mounts they also need bit of modifying
too be honest if you're referring to older model tzr (2rk ,3pc1,3pc2 etc ) and on about fitting a later tzrr barrel or dtr barrel to the older bottom end it will fit the pipes will line up still but in all honestly its a waste as there ported differently, send you're barrel of to http://www.pjme.co.uk/ this man is the best in the business he will fit a new sleeve etc what ever is needed to sort the barrel.
