Did my 2nd CBT today, all going well up til lunch time.Went to start my bike and it had a flat battery. Had to do it on a Yam 50cc scooter, what a pile of ****e. Could barely hit 30 and as soon as you hit any resistance it dropped down to 25. Anyway, he let me pass on it so fair play. I wouldnt mind but I went out on my bike for an hour n half last night with no problems apart from a sticky chain which I sorted when I got back. My legs are f#@%ed now from having them up on the platform. How does anybody ride these things restricted, it was like a funeral procession behind me at times.

He didnt want to risk having to bump it again out on the road. It was either the 50cc or would have to go back another week. Strange thing is, it was just dead on the electric start and no light on the clocks. Bumped okay though with choke on. When we got back after 2 hours out on the 50, it started first time. Got home okay and put it on test and battery was flat as a pancake so no idea how it started.

bumping is a piece of piss id of told him im riding the dt had to bump my ts50 evry time i wanted to ride for 4 months cos i snapped the kick start off and couldn't afford £40 for a new one
If it wouldn't start and then you came back and the electric start worked again, it'd suggest some dodgy wiring rather than a flat battery.
Unless you started it after it wouldn't go on the electric start, it would have remained flat. :/
It's a later model, perhaps it has one of them immobilisers where you have to turn it off and back on after a period of the key being in the ignition? Some bikes have these, I couldn't name any off the top of my head, but especially them with after market alarms & immobilisers.
