I have the dashboard its down to a matter of preference really it does have oil  light which maybe a plus for some but not for me personally as I keep my oil to the top everytime i get back home from using the bike its somethink ive always done with all my bikes Ive never let my oil run down.

Neutral light option again if you can`t find neutral without the light I don`t think you should be on the bike in the first place lol.

Indicators lights are helpful as the amount of road users that leave there indicators on after turning is unreal but they usually have the indication dash so what the feck all that is about with them is beyond me. So in a nutshell my next build I won`t be shelling out the £30 spots again for the dash.

Oh one last thing you get the £10 or £11 metal mounting bracket included with the dash which is pretty much useless for the DTR

Like said personally worth having.

There should be some mounting points near the bottom of the fork leg. Then you just use the magnetic screw as a pick up. Should be pretty obvious.

How is it looking so far. Have you figured out how you're going to mount the unit?

already put the screw on the rotor, couldnt see where to stick the sensor ?? going to mount with a mount...lol

got some measurements for a template and gonna see what i can figure out :p At least with standard clocks out of the way, i can have the halo headlamp sat correctly on the forks and not being pushed out of the way.

Any pics of where you mounted your speed sensor? mioght just leave the dashboard then... dont need any other lights really, plus it would make it a quicker install too :p

just need to sort this mount and get it set in an optimal position thanks

I cant remember and dont have my original forks go refresh my memory. But it was pretty obvious if i remember correctly. Towards the front of the left fork leg there should be some places to mount it too. Can't recal what should be there but there was definately something there.

This is how I done it. drilled a hole and used a self tapping screw.
