when you say monkey bike do you mean a real monkey bike or a chink one ? either way if its for a nipper to play on and was cheap then chink is ok ..

 Good for practice though Dan.

If you find yourself one day with a spare 60-80 get yourself a bottom end lump of the bay and strip it and rebuild it best way if you wanna learn more about the DTR. and when you rebuilt it properly drop a head on it got yourself a spare engine then smile

yeah haveing a old dtr engine to work on can be great fun and as there is no rush with a spare you can get it looking and running awsome like brand new over time and learn loads along the way

yeah common thing on them the clutch and pull starter breaking ..

bought one or two for my kids under £40 as its no loss if plod take em away on fields tbh the last one we had bought it fill can pettrol day on field totalt rapeing it letting all his mates ect have a go till we killed it and I just left it there .. not sure if the other kids take it home or left it lol ...

best bit of advice remove the pull starter and make up a attachment to fit a cordless drill for starting it
