Tbh I have never ever even tried to pull a wheelie kinda see no point in it . have had the bikes that come up all by them selfs but soon put the wheel donw again .
Doing good wheelies requires good balance & there is a certain amout of skill involved it can also be enjoyable and bring alot of good feeling to the rider as they feel good in themselves in demonstrateing their riding skills Thats why people get the bug or they get addicted to doing them as they want to try and keep it up as long as possible. Or in alot of cases longer than they did last time. I think wheelies are fine but I think there is a time and place to do wheelies and public roads really isn`t the place to do them as you don`t have full control of the bike & anythink can happen out there either to yourself or someone else. off road private land is the place for this kind of riding.
I would love to be able to wheelie. Too scared of coming off. Too scared about damaging the bike. And not really fussed about learning. But if i could then that would be wicked.

Should see the state of my DRZ hahaha, every single panel has road grazes on it, worst outcome from a wheelie is flipping it, thats why i tended not to do them as much on the sportsbikes as there is more to break haha
It's a skill in it's own right MDKizzle, thats why we like doing them, not for showing off all the time, most of the time tho haha, when i was a kid i loved seeing these sports bikes fly past on 1 wheel on the motorway

yeah I can imagine nath would like wheelies flying past screaming look at me massive **** ............lol
must say when im out and see some one pop a wheelie all that comes to mind is what a dick almost like the guy in his corsa putting foot down with his massive exhaust as he drives past ya
Here's some advice, Clamp clutch in, Full throttle & sling clutch óut. As soon as you get your front wheel up to 12 o'clock put your back brake on a tad & let the fun begin lol! you will all off but if you're tall enough you can hold the bike upwards. & bestplace to practice is offroad. Mud doesn't hurt like gravel lol!
It's just a bit of fun MDK :) Not to impress but o me it's for slow control the trial guys i was riding with teached me ( lucky ****ers have ít easy hill climbing on gas gas trial bikes lol

That isn't your riding gear in your avatar is it?
You come off in tracky bottoms, it takes three seconds from 30MPH to get to bone with gravel. So you fall off about 60-70MPH in tracky bottoms, you'll have skin so bad, you'll look like this:
That guy wasn't even going that fast judging by his injuries.
Get some textiles or leather gear, don't ride without gear or you'll end up regretting it when you crash.
Ask any expierenced biker, all of them have had at least one off, either lowslided or some idiot has pulled out, it happens.
