Gearbox oil going somewhere !

Hi guys,

recently realised my bike was using coolant, went to look through the g'box oil window to check if it was looking milky and then  I see have little to no oil..

So I drain wats left which is mostly water, and re fill my oil to the line. I then check it in the morning and it has gone down very slightly, so I top it up again ensuring the bikes perfectly up right and that I put it in the exact right amount.

so I leave it another day and a half I then check again and there is **** all in there again.

Im thinking crank seals. Any other thoughts or anyone else agree ? Cheers guys.

oh and I have got new head gasket and water pump seal to solve the coolant problem.

Dont fill it up to the line mate. 750ml should go in there. Regardless of whether that goes to the line or not. Thats how much should be in there.

Check coolant. Could be wate pump seal.

yeah good point cal 750 ml in some cases you will not even see the oil in the little window unless you lean the bike way over to the side never try to fill so you can see it to that line to much oil will do more damage than good

well if the crank seal is leaking i would get it replaced asap, mine failed very badly and seized a new top end lol dont think i flushed the bottom end thoroughly enough so a bit of metal wore the seal down and it leaked

The only reason i say it is cause ive never seen anything in that window. 750ml went in. 750 ml came out. Never saw nothing through the window.

Yeah but that is cause you've got problems. My point stands. Take the rest 350ml then put 750ml.
