Mate that is tragic.

I'm not sporting this but when my bike got nicked i knew it wouldnt pass. I just sorn'd it and kept riding. Like said. Im not sporting it but i needed transport. Plus since the police did nothing about the robery and that I was the victim. Dont see why I should have to suffer.

Thats just me though.

Cal I honestly couldn't agree more with yeah mate! But to tax a bike don't you need a valid mot? So I wouldn't if been able to tax it either, every thing that has been done to the bike needed to be done so its not like I could of just ignored it really and rode it, but it's all coming to and end now tho so hopefully this time tomorrow if I source a helmet I'll have some sexy pics up of my bike!

These are actually good locks, they're Oxford chains the only time my bike is really at risk is at college and even there you have a choice of my dt, Danny's dt and a friends husky 610

No chain is safe for a bike, especially with battery powered angle grinders, cut through the best of locks, just make lots of noise. Won't be heard in a loud car park though, especially if it's near a busy road.

P.S, don't think the thieves will nick another bike opposed to yours, they'll nick the Husky, if they can't get through the ignition (all coded now) they'll come back and take a DT or two if there's a gang.

No bike is safe, get insurance out, make sure it ISN'T "social" only, or you'll never get a pay out if it was nicked from a college. Police reports will prove this, unless you lie to police, etc, but then again, the CCTV backs it up to being at a college.

You do realize people don't give two shits about someone else's bike being nicked, right?

If someone did come out of the reception there's a 90% chance they won't even get involved, just ring the police, by then your bike is long gone.

People don't care about other people's stuff, unless it's someone they know or their property.

Also, a hacksaw will cut through them Halford locks, a little hacksaw, no sparks or anything.

And if you hook the chain through your wheels, them small spokes can be cut out with a hacksaw, and the small gap in the middle of the handlebars.

Aye well the husky is a 98 plate and someone already tryed to nick it from his dads :/, but in college if theres people cutting through a chain with an angle grinder i think people will notice, the place i park is right next to reception and in veiw of everyone when they walk out the door
