DTX wheel with DTR forks
Permalink

Hi guys,

I recently did a dtx supermoto conversion on my DTR and I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I don't like how much shorter the front end is because of the forks and I will be changing them to DTR forks soon

But I would like to keep the dtx front brake so I will need to make up a bracket. I'm sure many people have done this before

Does anyone have a template for the bracket? as I would like to make it up before I buy the forks.

Thanks in advance, matt.

Also is it possible to make the bracket from something other than metal because I don't have access to the tools to make it from metal.

I didn't move it btw. Cause I wanted you guys to read it.

He posted up measurements. Probably annoyed people keep posting the same thing over and over.

Has to be made out of steel nothing less i'm afraid. Sorry about the delay on people wanting these made up my dad's been super busy since getting back from holiday, once he's back from his course tomorrow i'll ask him about knocking some more up for people that still want/need them. Cheers.

I've actually put up pictures of caliper conversion brackets on two or three posts now, the pictures have measurements on them too, I think the last ones were on Bradders post, about him knocking up stuff at his work place, I can only take measurements of stuff, relevant to my own project, so if your combination of forks, disc, and caliper isn't on there, then you'll have to get your own measurements, I have asked people who wanted me to make their brackets for them, to take measurements of what they need to have a bracket made up, and send me a template, but no ones been arsed to do it so far.

Hi,

I'm trying to find the posts from Nev with pictures and measurements etc. but I haven't been able to find them. Search comes up with nothing, and I've been trawling through all the recent posts from Nev and I haven't been able to come across it.

Any chance of making the post a 'sticky' somewhere, either in Supermoto or 'FAQ' section perhaps ?

Thanks
