Bogged from heat, should I worry?

So I changed the cylinder head gasket at my brother

buut, I were too lazy to fill up the cooler, because I thought I've been running without water in the cooler
all the time for the past half year since the gasket was leaking... without problem...

anyways, so the heat lamp started glowing and it used to do that now and then before so I was like
.. nah, nothing to worry about (and ofc, stupid me... xD )... so then it suddenly bogged..

had to call my brother to get me some water and a screwdriver to fill it up, and then I could ride home
without problems, and it seemd to run like before...

Should I worry??

I could probably test the compression at my friends place soon some day
and if the compression is OK, I'm all fine? :D
and also, what should the compressibe normally? It's a 3mb

Have a look up the exhaust port. Rapid heat expansion can cause heat seizures which usually result in scoring of the barrel.

Yeah i can imagine. But there is really no point in cutting corners like coolant

no ****, I feel so stupid.. :P

I were just out and checked again, so the compression seems fine :)
but I'll check the exhaust port tomorrow, and see if I can get the compression tested with real tools just to be sure

The compression may be fine. But if scoring along the barrel has occurred it won't be long until the compression drops and you'll be bacl to square 1. Rebuilding...

how do you mean with it wont be long until the compression drops if scoring has occured?
wouldn't the compression drop quite fast if scoring has occured?

anyways I tested the compression at my friends place today and it was decent.
gonna check the exhaustport tomorrow tho, didnt have time today

If you think you feel stupid mate my bike was running boggy due to low coolant for 2 weeks before i figured out that the coolant was low, about a month later my piston rings went and now my bike is off the road as the top end is ****ed.

but in your case where it was sorted out the momet it started happening i'd say you'll be fine, i was using mine daily for the 2 weeks lol
