Ebay - How To Sell?

No advice on how to actually post an ad, but to help you with selling:

Keep it simple, explain the item as truthful as you can, don't forget to include pictures of damage if there is any.

Keep the price realistic, search up the same item to figure out a price.

Keep the postage prices realistic I'd advise going post office and getting prices before selling if you can.

Good grammar and spelling in the ad, use a spell checker before posting it, if you have spelling mistakes and poor grammar, buyers will think you're stupid.

That's pretty much it, and just make sure you have some good feedback before selling. You get some real horrible people when it comes to selling, trying to scam you getting refunds and bribing you over a stupid feedback system.

Well lads,

Bit of a noob question here, but I'm wanting to sell a few things off the er6 and I've had them up on the local classified ads and forums since I bought the bike, but no luck! There's very few er6s in the country so I've decided to stick them up on ebay in the hopes that somebody snaps them up.

Problem is I am a total noob when it comes to selling on it! confuseI know roughly how to place the add but that's about it, how does everything else work? hmm Is it a pain in the hole, etc.? Hoping somebody can give me a hand here, cuz need a bit of money towards getting a tail-tidy and crash bobbins.

As always, thanks for any help and advice! winkbiggrin

Are you set up on eBay mate. I.e. have you got paypal?

Paypal makes the whole thing easier.

Click sell an item on ebay. Follow the steps through to the end then wait and see what happens.

If you've got paypal then all you do is wait for them to pay into your paypal then you arrange postage and thats it.

You can then either withdraw the moneh into your bank account or just spend it without moving it.

Simple really. But thats the jist. Paypal will make kt ten times easier.

Really, its that easy? Yeah I have an ebay account and a paypal account! I've been buying stuff off ebay for a year or two now, but never had any reason to sell until now! So basically the first thing I should do is find out how much postage is and then follow the steps and play the waiting game?

Thanks Calum, fair play to you for the reply! wink

Don't even bother with royal mail mate. If the item is small like envelope then maybe. Otherwise use parcel2go

Cheers, thanks for the reply boxing! yeah I have lots of good feedback, but its only from buying! hmm  I've changed my mind on selling most of the stuff, but I'm still gunna sell the givi monolock rack that came with the bike as I'll never use that, plus it looks hideous on the back of the bike!! bleh  They usually sell for at least 120/130 euro, so I'm gunna put it up for 60 for a quick sale!  Hopefully I get rid of it quick so I can start ordering my tail tidy! aww

Thanks for your help guys! Was a bit weary about selling on ebay at first, but you have talked me around! biggrin

Most people don't go detective on feedback when buying, the just look in the right corner at the "100%" and the amount of items bought/sold. Should be all good. ;)
