Do you get the same pitch to marshall each year Eddy, or won't you know where you'll be marshalling till you get there?

You can chose where you want to go but I go on the response car , they have 5 cars spread around the track that have as many marshals as they can that are trained up and can go any where and then when roads close and they find they are short of marshals some where we go and cover the shortage so racing can go for if they do not meet maning level any where then it is a no go , but if they are coverd we get stood down and we can go where ever we like on the roads that are open

No we don't get anything like that we get a program and supper on mad Sunday night and if we marshal at the TT we get a £100 discount on the ferry to go back and marshal at the Manx or I should say up to £100 if you are spending more than £200 for me it is the involve ment the being part of its the same where ever I do it club BSB. Moto GP any of it it's all the same just love it wish I had done it years earlier than I did

Nice one Eddy! Fair play to you lad! Definitely gunna have to make it across within the next 2-3 years to the TT! Have a lot of the road racing here in Ireland (The skerries road races are only a couple of miles away from me - used to go every year with my Dad when I was younger), but have always wanted to go Isle of Man to witness the madness!! biggrin  A lot of the lads on the other forum I'm on are heading across... so one of the years (when the bank account allows it) I'll be heading across with them! wink

Was a shame about the North West 200 being cancelled recently! cry  Was looking forward to that!!

It is a awesome place to me some thing that every biker should do once just to say they have but it getting harder to do , the ferrys can't cope people book up a year in advance and still struggle to get the crossings they want 18 hrs to go, like a big kid all excited

I'd love to go one year. Maybe in the future, eh? Only just started really getting into the road racing bikes. Used to be all about MX when I was growing up, didn't really bat a lid to road bikes, only supermotos and MX bikes. Getting into the TT etc now though. :D
