So I did my top-end rebuild with Athena 170cc kit. All gaskets new etc... Today I ran it and it started leaking somekind of iron-coloured fuel-like-smelling liquid from exhaust from the cylinder. Also the spark plug was covered with it. I was wondering if it could be some coolant that went into cranckcase when I removed 125cc cylinder or it might be transmission oil. If it is transmission oil, what can I do? I checked transmission also with removing the cap - it seemed fine or should I see some oil in there? Is sae 10w-40 okay for gearbox?
The bike ran stable but when hitting the throttle it stalled after revving up a bit ( Many times). Might be that I didn't have much fuel in tank ( will try with more fuel tomorrow).
I have the gasket. (new one) Ill tighten up the bolts more. The exhaust might be a bit bent also - I cut it open to remove restrictors and when re-welding the measurements surely change a bit.
What top end you got? Standard or Athena? Mine maxes about 9-10K. Needs setting up though. Which will be done soon, still got parts for the DTR hogging up my shed.
Well my mixture is not right. It starts making weird sounds @ 8k and the spark plug is black. I need to try a smaller main jet or lower the needle. I havent removed the restrictor from collector and I haven't find any guides about the wires.
