I've just collected this:

The guy I brought it from had had it for 20 years, and its been off the road the last 15, with the engine going in to a tzr. Then it sat as a rolling chassis up until about 18 months ago when it was stripped with the intention of rebuilding...until now. I have the V5 (old stylee!) biggrin and now I just have to decide what to do with it!

What do you guys think? Are these things worth much? I'm not sure whether to part it out, restore it (slowly!), or just put it in storage and let the value mature, lol.

Any pictures of the frame? What's the general condition of the parts? I'd look into getting the frame immaculate ready for the frame to go in, and then if you can't get an engine, several people on here might buy it off you for a good price. Scrim likes his LC's.

Tough call mate. The LC's are getting rarer and very desirable. Personally i would build it. Use yz wheels and dtr brakes. Over the drums the lc used. But other than that try and restore it.

Ask scrin. He's give you sound advice. Hea the man in the know.

I'd go for the restoration Fused, and make it as it was when it came out of the factory, well sought after by purists, more for it's aesthetics than it's performance mind.
After I've done the DTZR hybrid I've got this 1982 XT125 to sort out,

This will be done as to original specs, and the added bonus is the vin says number 7 out of the factory, as they were first out in 82.
