I don't really think buying stickers for this site is worth doing. It's aimed at DT owners, so the majority of people who see your bike have absolutely no purpose in coming on this site, unless they wanted a DT and wanted to ask questions about them.

And nine times out of ten, people see my bike going past at 30+ MPH, so don't have a chance in being able to read and remember the website URL.

Each to their own though. I just see it implausible to buy stickers for this website when its aimed at a small % of bike owners.

Nah website stickers are mint. It means we are part of a community. And when your bikes parked up people can see your bike. Especially if its modified like mine. I was always envious of people on here who already had the stivkers.

But the problem is is that out our URL is dt125r.activeboard.com. Das ist nitch gut.

Kinda non sticker related What I would like to have is some hoodies t-shirts etc for the site other forums do this.
Perhaps with our own logo knocked up too not sure if anyone else would go for that ?

This would be good but the hoodies ive seen in the past made by forums for members are just so tacky, print quality and hoody is shabby lol

I can see why though,quite expensive to have your own hoodies made up

those designs some one did on here not so long ago were decent, ill have a look

It'll cost about £20 a month, unless you went for free hosting.

Google "buy a domain" a ".co.uk" address is usually cheaper than .com etc. Then you need hosting, then you can just iframe the URL to this site, or install another forum, but then all the members and posts will be lost, not worth doing a fresh install, unless this one went down.

Link to this site wouldn't gain any money from adsense and what not. If we hosted our own forum, we could place ads at the bottom of the page and make some money back in adsense, only if we had a good amount of members though. Wouldn't get that much right now as we don't have many members regularly active.

We don't want ads on the site though. This is a community. I've been on sites where they put ads on there and it's just annoying. I can appreciate that I only USE those sites for personal gain but its still annoying.

With hosting? If so you could setup a forum on there, then move all the posts over by copy and pasting, a lot of time and hassle. Not really worth it.

PhpBB is a free forum, there's a few others out there too if you wanted to take that route.

Don't need to. All we want is a domain name that will link over to this forum. Someone years ago already bought dt125r.co.uk and then we had stickers made up.

I've just bought that domain back. So now when you type in www.dt125r.co.uk it links us to this site. The hosting is already sorted out by Seiki. He's already got somebody hosting our website. There's nothing wrong with this site.

i would like some decent stickers for my swing arm? i can get measurements as the yamaha ones i have on there are too big and curl over the edge of swingarm top and bottom

I really like this which was made up by doppa, someone should edit out the 'forum' and replace it with .co.uk and if everyones likes them resize and use this design to get some nice looking stickers made up for everyone

Yeah, also thing to remember is a quite a few of our swingarms are blac

So if we go with the above design, maybe make up some all white ones

or for all of us lads which are going for/ running a red and black/white colour scheme (me, ralzy, seiki, nev, sean etc) getting some red and black/white ones made up ;)
