CARB PROBLEM WITH DEP EXPANSION
Permalink

I'm thinking this is a carb problem, I bought the new DEP expansion chamber for my dt 125r 2002 (i have rear can also) with standard expansion acceleration was good, now with DEP EXPANSION CHAMBER, theres a flat spot, then all of a sudden it jumps to higher revs and goes, im thinking do i need to adjust the needle height , i went to yamaha dealer and they said it makes a big difference if you adjust it, are they correct? also ive been told by alot of people stay standard jetting (240)  ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!! cheers

Standard jetting is fine. Sounds like an underlying problem mate

The dealer was right, try change the needle height, it does make a big difference.

so, im now going for the 250 and 260 jet, going to try the 260 first, then check the plug, if it's too rich, going to put the 250 jet in, fingers crossed that will sort it out..
