Very nice. I do like the look of the yzf but it doesn't surprise me that the nsr is quicker.

Dude you realise you could have just bought a generic kill switch. Hell even a generic one and just spliced it into the loom.

Or even a toggle switch hidden away as a anti theft device!
I've thought of this when my nsr kill switch started playing up.

Meh, I wanted an OEM looking one 'cos unlike the DT I'm gonna keep this as stock as possible with exception to the exhaust and front forks/wheel. ;)

What's the top speed of the NSR? Supposed to be a bit quicker than DT's aren't they?

I went out with loads of guys last night and well, I had qa GSXR 750 in front leading the way and an SRAD600 behind me. The guy with the SRAD came and spoke to me as soon as we stopped and said how quick it seemed, he asked what had been done and I just said powervalve pinned, boyesen reeds and full arrow system then all jetted to suit. He was really impressed lol. I apologised for poisoning everyone with my 2stroke smell ahah! I had about 95 at a push, didn't wanna go to far cos it's been sat for a year before I got it. Could have gone more and into the redline but didn't wanna blow it up on it's first outing. LOL.

Doing about 75-80MPH give or take. All speed-o's are about 10% out near the end. And start over reading. ;)

How does a speedo start over reading? There either accurate or not accurate, you can't say they run out of sync the faster you go that doesn't make sense!

I've had a jc20 nsr and that would hit a ton screaming its little stones off

Lol! His must have a turbo button.

That or he doesn't have much clue about how a speedo works.

Since the torque on the cup is exactly proportional to the car's speed, and the spring's deflection is proportional to the torque, the angle of the pointer is also proportional to the speed. At a given speed the pointer will remain motionless and pointing to the appropriate number on the speedometer's dial

Copy and paste about how a cable operated speedo works.

So I started messing with the look of the bike and removed the rear pillion pegs as they weigh a **** load and poke out like a sore set of piles. Now I took some photos with my DSLR but forgot to put the memory card in before I put the bike back together so I only have photos of me putting the rim tape on the bike. :(

Once I start earning some dough at Hein Gericke I'm gonna start buying the relevant bits for the conversion to streetfighter :D

No point in street fighting a mere 125CC 2 smoker. Just gets rid of the value when it comes to selling it.

Don't forget a LOT of bike owners disagree with most peoples street fighting attempts.

A waste of money and time. In my honest opinion.

If you want to make the bike look better, then fix the crash damage and get the panels resprayed.

Just wasting money and devaluing the bike.

If you want to street fight something, get a 600CC crash damaged bike and molester that.

Each to their own though and all that yidda-yadda.

''but I'm going to keep anything I take off and not Fighter it to the extreme so that when the time comes to sell it I can revert it back to NSR standards''

There are no limits on the cc of a bike you can steetfighter either, it's the best looking 125 to streetfighter say alot of people who have streetfighters.

So it's a waste of money IMHO. Got to sell all that speedfighter stuff after as well.

Just hassle, and you can't just revert it after as most other fairings etc will need brackets to hold them on.

All the brackets that hold the fairing and front end on all unbolt from the frame, so I cam keep all the brackets and reuse them when or if I sell the bike as a streetfighter or back as a normal NSR. It wont cost me alot to streetfighter as I have the forks and swingarm already. The rear tailpiece is around £60 with a CBR600 plastics and rear subframe.

Either way, I've always wanted a streetfighter and it'll be a good learning curve. Alot of people say my DT was **** but it ended up how I wanted it to look (Minus the plastics) so meh to those people.

Pfft it's only money lmao. Have fun doing the street fighter conversion. Worry about money when you're older and have a family. Plus he could get knocked down by a bus tomorrow. What good is money to him when he's dead.

Lol, I'm not fussed what other people think. I'm the kind of person that can't just have something and leave it standard.

I will do yeah, or get a slide hammer and sort it that way. New tanks on eBay go for fairly cheap so we'll see..

On the forks front, I've got donor forks and swingarm from another 125 ;)
