Thanks Cal just tried them and £30 was there lowest quote! I then stumbled upon http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk and have been quoted £14.38 next day! So all is good
Anyone know the best way to transfer v5 across country?
Unless you forge their signature and send it off for them, I don't think there is a way. Otherwise you just attach it to the frame and hope they are trustworthy enough at their end to sort it out.
Oh and just use city link through parcel monkey, will be £10 max for a frame. Can even lie about details to get the price down a bit if you really want but shouldn't be needed, I've sent loads of bumpers and bonnets for around £7.50 over the years never had a problem.
Frame was £15 with citylink through parcel monkey, which I am happy with, and has already been collected.
As for the v5, I have been told the best way of going about it is to just sign in their place and put P.P. before or after the signiture ( P.P. = per procurationem, it's Latin meaning on behalf of). I'm also told that dvla don't really give a toss anyway, and that just a cross or even leaving it blank can go through without problem. I went with P.P.
I don't think they really care mate, I've forged a couple in the past without issues. You could even just get the guy to apply for a new one after he gets the frame, but will cost him £25
