Pillion foot rests are not required on motor bicycles that only have a single seat. In addition some motor bicycles used on or after 14 June 1993, which are intended to carry a passenger may not be fitted with footrests but with hand holds attached to the motor bicycles frame adjacent to, or part of the seat.
mine failed a week ago on no rear pegs ,if it has a grab rail or a seat strap it must have rear pegs i didnt believe it myself bu the dt is classed as dual seat i dont know why as its ****ing stupid i suppose its at the discretipon of the tester
i blew my dt up ... but i fixed it.... Then i crashed it.... but i didnt fix it right and 2 scouser's come in the middle of the night and left me with a working bike
Mirrors and indicators aren't legal requirements, if my bike failed its MOT for any of these reasons I'd be giving them a lecture about it not being a legal requirement then going home and finding something to back up my argument on the Gov's website and be back the next day with it.
Just whack some black duct tape over the turning switch for the indicators, can't fail you.
Can also do the same for miles, whack black duct tape over the glass of the clock, no mileage can be read then. Stops insurance companies that say you can do X amount of miles per year. They ask for the MOT before & after to compare miles. Not when no miles are shown, hahaha.
Lol. Took my dt for the mot. When i did an mot check online it shows the increment if mileage and now the sudden decrement to 120 miles since i've got different clocks. I dis say they're different clocks. He said not his problem. He's just going to write down what is there. Doesn't care whether it's accurate or not. Made me lol.
