I have decided after alot of thinking, to Streetfighter the NSR.
I know alot of you will think I'm mad and tbh so do I, but I'm going to keep anything I take off and not Fighter it to the extreme so that when the time comes to sell it I can revert it back to NSR standards. I've always wanted to Streetfighter a bike and this will be perfect for me as it's the best looking engine to streetfighter without looking too empty in the engine department. I'm not going crazy with it, just subtle changes.
The fairing on the bike is old and tired so it's a good excuse to get it off the bike and repair and paint it up :)
This is the plan:
Aprilia AF125 Futura front end
Aprilia AF125 Futura single side swingarm (Fortunately it's the same side with the sprocket etc)
Custom KOSO clock
Custom front light (Yet to figure out which one)
Gonna knock up a bellypan out of some old fairing I got from an Aprilia from the breakers
Anyone that doesn't know what the Futura looks like..
SUCHHHH a good looking bike.
The old subframe unbolts happily, so I'll put that to one side and speak to my engineer friend and see if he will knock one up that will accept a CBR600RR tailpiece.
Anyway, I've looked for examples but all the ones I come across are streetfightered to death with straight up tailpieces and it looks ****ing ****. Like an abortion. So I'll get a build thread going and for those of you who don't wish to see this, I'd stay well away from the thread! cos it's going capital C for custom. Peeeeaceeeeeee.
It's gonna look good if I follow the plans I have in my head, basically just gonna make it look like a supermoto and a superbike have ****ed and produced some gnarly aggresive looking bike :D
