Just wondering what happens here as essentially the bike has been clocked. Will the tester just rewrite down what it says ie mines say 5.4 at the moment.

Lol, Yeah don't worry it about it man when it comes to mots, most of em if they can will turn a blind eye to most little things anyway...

...Think about all the derestricted pedal on L's in every town, some of them totally illegal...majority of em will pass the mot each year regardless....

... It isn't the MOT's job to test if the bike is restricted or de-restricted. It's merely their job to test the bike is road worthy, i.e lights, horn and brakes work.

It's the police and other bodies to ensure you're riding to your license requirements etc etc. Of course the riders will be wrecked if they crash and the insurance inspect their rides, especially ones with 50CC registered peds with 125/180CC engines.

The MOT inspector doesn't even check if you have a working speed-o. Again, it's the polices job or other bodies to do you for this offence.

I know people that switch wheels and all sorts to pass MOT's, then switch stuff back as soon as the pass certificate is in their hands. Loud race cans etc, keep standard, easy to swap around for MOT's swap back instantly. biggrin
