They say once bitten twice shy! and that can't be truer when you have had a bike nicked before.

So take a look at my new purchase for the end of my drive way that's just round the side of my block. Wasn't cheap by any means but the peice of mind should pay for it's self whilst sleeping and at work when I have the car. was looking at other sheds that I could have kicked through the walls in seconds lol and they were like £400 anyway. Plus if I move I can take it with me,

Going to get a work bench in it to so might even get a new project started this winter. Have to wait a god damn month till it is delivered though!

looks ok but they always do on the pics will be intresting to see how solid it realy is ? they always focus on the locks and locksmith aproved lol I bet with 5 mins and a big jimmy bar I could soon bend it open or pop open those hindges with in seconds ...

lets face it nothing is secure and even the solid steal sheep containers can be got in to easy these days what with all the cordless tools around .

the best bike safety lock I ever saw was made from scaffold bars filled with other steel rods made in to a massive U shape it went throu the entire bike and throu the guys kitchen wall so you had to go inside the kitchen cubords under the sink to put locking bars on the ends along with a alarm all under the kitchen sink lol

but still you will have to get a review video and pics up ...

Ha Ha lol fag with a chizil. That is the bycycle version be good if they tried the motorbike one but it looks sturdy enough from the vid.

Definatley doing a write up, This was my only solution apart from getting planning permission and paying someone to build a garage, if I had a flimsy shed round the corner you wouldn't sleep much.

I don't live in a bad area by any means but half the time that doesn't even matter. lol about the kitchen sink sounds secure. Will get some pics of my drive up to.

agree as sheds go this looks a good option if not one of the best you can pay close to that price for the argos type tin foil sheds that open with a can opener or blow over in a strong wind ..

if I was ever going to buy a steel shed thou it would be a old container type

I agree. Pussy tools for the job. Didn't think they'd take those small tools for that kinda job.

This true. Not much youncan do. If they want it they'll get it. Just have to slow them long enough to catch them.

Buying one of them is just inviting the thieves IMHO.

It will put off the chav git's after a quick joyride. But if a sophisticated group see it, they'll be thinking more than a DT is in there, so they'll be opening it.

In order to protect your bikes, I believe you have to think like a thief.

I think in my situation I am more aiming at the opertunistic Chav scum with a pair of croppers and a screwdriver ect not the mor sophistacated high end bike thief. Even if they get in they are still going to have even more locks to get through with multiple alarms going off. It is well over looked by houses across the street and a house right next to it.

It's all about slowing them down as they say. No where is safe. Even a garage door can be ripped of if it is not bolted or cut through with a grinder lol.

Rape alarms with the pull out pin, secure on shed low down get one of them bungie key ring things (usually different colours with plastic clip that attaches to your belt etc) and attach it to the pin and clip end to one of the spokes...

There loud as owt and once that little pin is pulled you have no chance on getting it back in when its dark 110db and about £10-£15.
You could also fit one to your shed door just leave enough gap when open to get your hand in and unclip it really simple stuff and very effective

Most people are oppourtiunists and I think this will work.

The way a sophisticated bike/car thief works is that they already arrange a buyer before the steal. And they are usually high end bikes/cars. They'll follow that person home and do their research. I hardly think that a high end bike thief will be interested in a DTR. Especially one that has to go through hoops to get it. This will be alright for the oppourtunist.

I live in a right pikey area and my bikes always got an eye on it from scummers. I've got 2 ground anchors and my car is parked next to it on the drive with a chain through the rear steelie and round the rear wheel of the bike.. off the floor too so they don't have anything to lever a pair of croppers on. Thieving ****s will have a bike away no matter what though, but it's better to try and get some sort of protection from theives.

Although, don't most people keep garden **** in them? Or similar looking ones from Argos? If you're lucky you won't get any ****ers trying to break in, if not then they'll think it's just full of trowels, flower seeds and an electric strimmer from 1999.

Lol at trying to get through it with an old chisel. I'd just get the plasma cutter out, should do the trick lol.

Tbh though should stop most opportunists, that and a lock and alarm then you should be pretty safe

You clearly misunderstood me. I meant think like a thief when locking your bike up etc. And buying garages etc.

I keep mine in the garage and I've got 2 Almax chains and 2 Hardie ground anchors with Squire locks, plus 2 Xena disc locks and theyre locked to the mountain bikes. Good luck to them if they try.

We live next door to a couple who are both coppers, ones armed police and the other is an inspector. Our drives are joined and can fit 3 cars across and its a dead end road with 5 houses and we live at the top, sometimes we have to do a bit of shunting to get one car out depending on how the others have parked, especially if they are on call. Thieves still managed to nick his Landrover Defender off the drive while we were all in, it was parked so close to our car you would think it would have took our wing off getting it out but they did it without a scratch at 9 oclock at night without any of us hearing anything.

Professionals do it properly without a care in the world, Chavs are just Chavs.
