love to see guys whelieing a scooter for some great distnace with that look of real pride and awsomeness on the face as thou they are rideing a very powerfull awsome bike ...  I can also wheelie a wheel chair - bmx - mtb for the same distance

you could post pics of MOPEDS doing stunts wheelies or beating a dt with its auto engine but it will never impress me or anyone else and  no matter what  name make or model it is its still a MOPED designed for  kids ladys and old ppl to learn how to ride a real bike they wil always be raight at the bottom of the motorcycle ladder being the first step .

I agree with MDK 100% you can't possibly think you're awesome on a little ped with no gear except a helmet. 180CC or 125CC they're horrid. I had one at 16, would I get another? Hell no! Italian junk, I had a Piaggio every time it broke the plastics ALL had to come off, it'd be fine if it was just one, but no, three panels to get to the ignition column and three again to get to the engine.

Italian bikes are like the Chink ones made cheap as possible, except they use better metal, the only difference. IMHO.

And most of the 16 year old's that own them have no gear, often ride without the L's etc and are genuinely giving bikers a bad name.

Would rather a DTR compared to any ped, I ain't bothered about speed. I got bored of my ped because it was just twist and go, the gears are fun.

Not always the case boxing. Italian bikes are actually very good. Its the owners that let them down. Don't compare italians to the chinks. Thats very offensive and far from the truth. Italians are fantastic engineers when it comes to engines and styling. Granted electrics are not very good.

I owned a very unmolested Aprilia rs50 and that saw me very well through my 16 year old days.

My aprilia rs 125. Very sound bike. Although very molested, suspected full engine rebuild, since in my ownership only had maintenance issue where by the gears that drive the oil pump snapped. Again maintenance. Luckily caught before any damage. But still to this day. Sound engine wise.

... That review is from a mechanic. He specialises in scooters, if he says Italian is nearly as bad as the Chink's, then I agree with him. And my ped WAS cheaply made. And stop blaming maintenance, my bike was sitting for eight years. And never owned by a teenager except me in its whole life. hmm

You seem to just defend everything you own. It's materialistic items, can't take them to the grave with you so stop being so defensive over little items/possessions. You're starting to get like Xbox 360 / PS3 / PC fanboys, and they all get on my tits.

Not sure what mechanics you've been talking to. But it's got nothing to do with the fact that i owned one. The fact that i've owned one means i have a legit opinion.

I've seen italian bikes be absolutely thrashed. I'm talking about full blown ragged from new. No break in period and it lasted a heck of a lot longer than my friends boation. I've seen it in person so i can judge.

Right a bike that has been sat for 8 years WILL need work. It'll need basic maintenance done to it and a check over. I doubt that a DT that has been sat for 8 years will fire up like new without proper work to it.

Bike was left with the mechanic to get it road ready. Did the bearings etc.

I got it home, and had no keys to it, so just pulled the connection off the back of the barrel slow kicks to get everything moving then just kicked it up and on the 15th kick it fired into life. Didn't change the 2T even, only fresh petrol.

But yes, the plastics, and metal work IS cheap. The engine was the only good thing IMO. It was reliable but every time it broke it was a pain to work on, and if took to a garage an hour would of been just getting the stupid plastics off.

Reliability I give them 10/10 but the rest just lets them down. Mine was stripped down to the bone and pretty much restored. I have a pic somewhere.

Here, complete strip down:
