Your DT looks pretty good man...

What I will say though is keep the chain as high as you can, having it running on the ground as well makes it so easy for someone to come along with croppers and take your pride and joy.

Can you not pass the chain through between the cylinder/head and front of the frame or are the links to big?

Looks nice. Did you use the pivot bolt off of the DTX when you switched the wheels around? My DTX front wheel won't fit with my DTR pivot shaft. I'm on about the pivot to hold the wheel. ;)

TBH I think you'd only come across as dicks to the thieves after bikes. For warning him how to lock it up properly.

Thieves love people who don't know how to go about using their heavy duty locks, makes it easier for them to trash your bike down some local field / park.

you only have to look at all the still chained up back or front MTB wheels in towns and citys to know throu the wheel is no good dont chain to any part of the bike that can be unbolted or removed with in 5 mins make sure what ever you chain it to is unmovebale solid or weighs more or the same as the bike then make sure the bike can not be pushed away [ D - lock throu each disc/wheel and forks or swing arm ]

the D-lock is a must have for any bike yeah they can be cut or broken but hell are they easy and fast to secure and make the bike un push a way able .

disk locks are great for nipping in out the shop but useless over night most bikes the disc can be cut or halam key un bolted in mins and with a bit of string held out of the way so the bike can be riden away .

the best bit of kit you will ever buy is a good loud alarm hidden away well but also there are loads of gps type trackers out there also that can be used with most mobile phones loads of cheap options out there but for around £50 some good ones also http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=motorcycle+gps&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR7.TRC0.A0.Xmotorcycle+tracker&_nkw=motorcycle+tracker&_sacat=0

cctv realy is crap in most cases all you are left with is a nice video of someone taking your pride and joy warning this video will piss you off

part 1

part 2

Well, you work, what about two-three months on the minimum wage in Maccy D's until you can afford a decent DT, then think of the insurance etc.

Then think of five minutes cutting locks off and having a DT. That's why scum nick bikes. They can't get out of their sack in the morning, never mind working. They want everything handed to them on a silver plata.
