I thought I had the problem fixed but no my engine had just had a full rebuild but after 20 miles I noticed bike was running hot and that my oil was milky so I had the waterpump seal and water pump replaced and it was fine for 200 miles and now the oil is white and foamy again can anyone help thanks.
I had this with mine, was water pump seal, replaced it twice withinm100 mile as the first wire I'd caught the seal :/ I'd suggest replacing it again and giving the engine a good Clean out then a couple of oil changes after , what i didmall
good since:)
dont take a lot of water to turn it milky ... check the oil filler cap is air tight and the rubber seal is ok . had problems like this in past where the top of the gasket was not seated right or the oil cap/plug thingy I used to wash my bikes all the time so water was always getting clutch casing gaskets are some times over looked as you dont always see a oil leak on the top side .
so maybe not always the water pump seal first check for other ways water could be getting in there .
I fixed the problem today and was shocked by what I found as the bloke that fixed it last time had used loads of gasket sealent around the o ring that seals metal pipe that comes out of the waterpump housing and when I removed the water pump there was a load of sealant that had wrapped around the back of the waterpump shaft and had ruined the seal.
