3 wire vs 5 wire powervalve

Please educate me...

apart from the weight saving of 2 wires,

 

 

why is the 3 wire better then the 5 wire??

not to sure but the 3 wires came from older bikes mainly with less restrictions

they are not better they work the same as the 5 wire

ok lets put it another way in my mind the older bikes that used the 3 wire are better  biggrin

they wear made different

from what i understand

when they run 3 wire servos they removed the servo to restrict them but when they put the 5 wire servos on they changed to restricted exhausts plus there is probably other restrictions as well compared to the older ones


tbh i would rather a newer version end of the day they would only change something to make it better so there must of been a reason they spend money redesigning and changing things

You need to use the older cdi with the older servo
