hi under load at around 5 to 6000 rpm my lights turn off and if I tap front brake the come straight back on I have put new earth and checked and cleaned and made sure all connections are tight but still does it I am out of ideas has any one else hade this problem also if I let the reves come back down to like 3000 rpm the light will come back on
Battery's fine its baffling hell out of me it's only done it since I put the 2005 engine in my 2002 bike only thing I can think of is regulator but only just put that on too
Yeah mate the dtre has a much more powerful battery than the dtr. So it's something to do with that. On the dtre the lights remain on without the engine being on. So you'll have to either figure out what's causing the powerfluctuations.
ok cheers mate didn't know that so light run off battery instead of generator easy enuf should be able to wire straight to battery and put bigger amp battery on
