hi guys so im still doing my project up, engine in the frame all electrics wired up, ignition on and nothing happends no dash lights or anything at all. it was like that when i bought the bike, since than the wiring loom was replaced together with starter solenoid, there is electricity going on the frame checked alredy, and there is electricity going through ignition swich too. when the solenoid is shortened the motor spins dash comes on and the bike gives spark, havent started the thing yet as its not even standing on the wheels yet. has anybody came across this problem before and has any ideas? im thinking a missing ground somewhere but not too sure

I know this may be obvious but it's not a blown fuse is it?

I don't know what to suggest other than faulty solenoid. If it works when you bypass it then it might just need replacing or overhaul.

the solenoid was replaced alredy, that was my first guess aswell, i might try contacting the previous owner as he said (the electrics come on when you filde wiithh some wire) but he has never said which wire it was so i dont know. its not the solenoid the battery is brand new 12.6 showing on the multimeter, the loom has been replaced. the ignition switch works. the only thing that was not changed its the ground wire, wire going from the starter and all the engine wires, cdi and reg recifier. i doubt its any of the ground wires as the frame is showing up grounded and if it was the starter wire then it wouldnt spin when shortened. it all looks like it has something to do somewhere around the solenoid. but it has been replaced so eh what to do now

Had a similar problem at one stage mush, in my case it was one of the wires going into the ignition barrel block connector, id have a looky there if I was you,

but 1st go and try bumping it with the key in the ignition set to on, if it fires up but no electrics its one of the wires to do with the ignition barrel m8
