CCM R30 644 SUPERMOTO

This is the Suzuki DR650 engined CCM, the better one so people say. The older 604 has the Rotax engine and is poo apparantly.

Paid £900 for the bike, 3 sets of plastics, 2 endurance tanks (20l each), a spare seat, full standard exhaust system (has a Remus CCM system), and a swingarm.

I was going to prejudge and say not for me. But have read up what ccm are all about. Uk made. Powerful machines. I take It it's oil cooled. Looks ok. Styling is ok. Like the swing arm. Like the way the swing arm meets the shock. Like the ktm.

For £900 I'd have one. Nice buy.

I test rode one a few weeks ago at this enduro thing I went to, was like an adventure bike type thing. Had to say it wasn't bad to ride, heard mixed reviews but from what I've seen I'd definitely consider one!

It's brilliant to ride and weighs absolutely **** all. The bad reviews are based around the 604cc rotax engine. Everything about that engine is a no apparently. Clunky gearbox and rebuilds way too often. This is the suzuki dr650 engined one. So smooth when you're cruising and when you pin it it sounds ****ing epic. I'll get a video ;)

Really? That's light. Thats about the same as a dt isn't it? I know the supposed dry weight of an aprilia rs125 is like 110kg i think

It's very light, it feels alot like the DT when sitting at traffic if I drop it slightly to one side. I mean I can throw it around like a ragdoll. But that might be 'cos I'm a gym machine..

145 wet on the DRZ, mines probably 135/140 with the exhaust and other general things being took off tho, the stock exhaust is stupidly heavy

Little update, some new shoes and a change of clothes ;) Paid **** all for the wheels which I am VERY happy about.

IMG_0422.jpg

So I got the wheels on and realised that the spacers don't fit and the chain is too short. (old sprocket is standard 43t and the new one is 48t wheelie galore one) so I had to find some 525 split links to make it that little bit longer no. Anyway all is good, rolling with the front one on currently while the engineer makes me some new aluminium spacers :D

And the new clothes.. ;)

IMG_0428.jpg

Put the original black tank on, and tbh it's tiny compared to the other tank. So may just get that one sprayed black instead.

What do you guys think? Gonna go black and orange, subtly :D

Hhhmm.

Alloys were nice. But DAMN! THOSE SPOKES ARE SICK!

Seriously mate. They make the bike look loads better! YOU REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS FOR ME TO SAY THAT. What with me weighing the options up and deciding i wanted rid of spokes. But i stand by my decision. I wanted something off my first pride and joy on my favourite pride and joy.

Enough about me.

Mate they look wicked. Sort it out! You are a supermoto nut you know that?

It's a big improvement over the original. The lines are more aggressive on the newer one :)

So I finally got the spacers and set about fitting the spoked rear wheel.

We're getting somewhere now..

IMG_0489.jpg

Need a 43t sprocket back though, 48t isn't going to be on for long. I need the top end back lol
