yea i checked reeds are closing correctly and also changed inlet mainfold gasket while i was there also sprayed brake cleaner around engine no dips or rev increases so all gaskets good rebuild top end incase of water leaks carb is mint con spark plug is still as clean as it was new out the packet im thinking maybe i could have 3 faulty source coils as they have a high and a low power side to them for low rpm power and high rpm power it evens it out as can hear it hitting high rpm then breaks down to a lower rpm lol god help me

in the video you can see some wires hanging out i connected the side stand wire to the frame the cdi earth to the frame and disconnected the rest so no kill switch or iginiton on and still does the same if connected correctly as seen when it starts to miss fire while riding it will hit limit around 3+4000rpm and the temp gauge dips reg rec all working good charged battery resolded every wire plug on the loom other then the 2 cdi plugs for trigger pulse and source coil

are you sure its an electrical problem? what color is the spark plug? brown black? check if your float is working corectly. it might not be getting enough fuel to get it over 6k rpm. sorry to go on about carb etc but thats what the problem sounds like rather than the elecrics. is there any way to get your hands on on the coils to check if they might be foulty?

spark plug is still chrome.. spark is more of a white flash then a blue carb and float is mint con set correct has been running for 2 years before hand spot on nice golden brown plug never bogs or cuts out will tick over just under 1000rpm on stand still can start it with your hand

just checked choke all perfect as can be . changed over 2 of my source coils today and no change again found a stator i got off feebay its source coil was differnt by means of the black and red wire / green and white wire were the other way round to my other 2 stators so i switched wires over and still the same could i have 3 faulty source coils or cdi

I had one that sounded and did the same . I would say the problem is with your pv you say its pinned ? have you thought about fitting a servo .

is there any air leaks around the pv as a fast test get some cheap silcone sealant and seal all round the power valve so there is no chance of any air getting in or out then try it ... also maybe adjust it being pinned wide open is not always the best ..

yea power valve o rings are new it is a 1989 model reg in 1996 n reg so it is a pinned system fitted dead flat to top of exhaust port does not hit piston barrel head is mint condition only started when not riden for 7 weeks other then that iv riden it in every weather you can chuck at it in 2 years has new dep front pipe no water on plug etc etc if you block half the snorkel tube it will die take snorkel out will bog out like it should as set up correct with it in deffo a high speed misfire as will hit 9000rpm when cold for a few seconds then eletrical break down to around 6800+7000rpm no eletrical restrictors as its the 1988+1996 model

i did want a power valve kit but the price of a 3 wire set up was to expensive and normally bike starts first kick not much low end power but after 6000rpm used to fly to 10.000rpm even reline in 5th gear iv also got a 17 front sprocket and 55 rear compared to the original 16f 57r
