hey guys i seem to post more problems on this than solutions xD

the other day my bike was really quiet on the start up i mean like silent as if i was using a standard pipe on it ( dep currently fitted) and after a few miles it finally just got louder im confused. dunno if it was the oil i was using my local garage was closed i usually use Mx5 but on this occasion i used castrol racing 2t and boy did my tempeture rocket now i have a strange squeaking at idle rpm and sometimes cuts out the bike still runs sound as normal any1 else had this with castrol oil?

back to mx5 i go :P

Castrol is sound stuff. Was the product old? New. They did have a recall of oil due to water contamination. Although i doubt thats your problem.

Have a look up the exhaust port for any undue signs of wear.

I've never had a problem with that stuff always used it. Maybe it was down to mixing different brands of oil? I'd compression test it and like cal says have a look up the exhaust port see if there's any scoring to the piston
