I have had a wired issue for the last few weeks and its now finally gota to its extreme.

for a wile my servo has not been able to turn my power valve even when the power valve itself is free moving and does not get stuck  i put it down to the servo has gone. then about 4 days ago my horn stoped working beeping it just makes a slight meep noise and last night my indicators wont flash there is a dim glow buy no flash they are led.

i tested them all and the horn and indicators are only geting 4-5v so they dont have enough power to work. all i can think of the problem could be the stator it has never had a problem before with a dead or full charged battery as the main power comes from the stator if the stator is faulty could it only be giveing out 5v and now my battery has draind to the point nothing has enough voltage to work?

im quite good with electrics but this baffles me last night to save myself doing 40mph for 30 miles then 30 miles home as the servo would not move the pv i hand moved it to open then disconnected the battery lol and was doing 70-80 on the way home witch is the fastest it has been since i have been riding it again.

has anyone else had this problem or know what else it might be

cheers

Any added accessories recently? Something taking a lot of power from the battery/generator.

Was it doing this before the crash. Or is this something that has happened after the crash?

Possibly a major wire has come loose and you are not charging the battery properly.

nothing has changed what so ever =[

goign to test the wires from the stator later on

Yeah. I reckon you've got a shed load of rust somewhere. Natrually rust doesn't have any resistivity so this increases resistance to maximum and this is causing an extreme load. Can be a number of things from dodgey battery to dodgey wire. Bad earth. Rectifyer broken. Electrics really are a pig and I have no experience whatsoever. Just trying to help. As I do.

im thinking either the stator has rusted some what or when it was stolen they cut the 2 wires from the top of the stator and i crimped them back togeather mabey the contacts have rusted.

i have had dead batterys before and it should not effect it in this way as when the bike runs it gets it power from the stator. just hope i find it soon as when i get my new bike its just going to be sitting for a wile again haha

Yeah I know mate. But I've heard a lot of people say their bikes run really odd when it's not got a battery or is running low.
