Courier Companys! DO NOT TOUCH Parcel2GO!

So I'm sending some bits off to guys on the forum. I booked collection for yesterday and paid for 24 hour delivery through parcel 2 go. The actual courier is Yodel.

No one turned up yesterday...i waited all day 7-7...

Today im still waiting and no ones turned up.....

Check out the reviews for them through google. Its shocking that they are still in business.

If you need one in the future. Use Interparcel. I got confused with names and ended up using parcel2go whereas i usually use interparcel who have always been fast and effective.

Rant over!

You're joking! I've used them loads of times and not once had a problem andy.

UNTIL! Last week used them to send a parcel. They didn't turn up. Until yesterday!

I've put in a request for a refund. No reply and now opened up a dispute in paypal!

Some points:

They are only broker as in they take the payment then forward your information onto the courier company - so can't blame them for the courier not turning up really.

People only really review them when there is something to complain about, look at other courier.. insurance companies it's all the same. I used city link for years sending hundreds every year then looked at reviews and they were all pretty much bad even though I only ever had 2 or 3 problems.

And lastly Yodel are utter ****, be thankful it didn't get picked up otherwise someone will have gone to town on it with a sledge hammer anyway

Parcelforce, TNT, interparcel etc all seem to be good but sometimes double the price of the crap(er) companies so you have to decide if it's worth the risk

No. They clearly are not doing something right. I've used them many many times and have never experienced this. Had the parcel man turn up a week later. I was like yeah mate I sent it to royal mail when you were 5 days late :/

Information

Posted 3 weeks ago

Linda Jobling
TNT came to collect parcel, we were sending 4 BMW wheels, called at the door, we had filled in all forms and printed out labels, but he would not take them!!!!!!! What a very bad organisation!!! Could they not have told us that we had to parcel the wheels up in bubble wrap or something. Now have to go out and buy some bubble wrap, and try again. I would not recommend TNT to anyone.

Look at that review. She gave it one star. What a Fcking doughnut. Fúcking obviously they need to packaged you dumb fúck lol. Aww no. Have to buy bubble rap end of the world...

I'd have to disagree with the reviews. Look at the reviews of interparcel, compared with parcel2go. I can blame them for not having a contact number. Yes they are only a middle man but thats even more reason to make sure you offer a good service. Parcel2go sent me the txts and confirmation that the item would be collected on the thursday, the docket that i took copies of from the courier when i picked up the parcels showed that they were booked in for friday. Yodel although are obviously ****. picked up on the day they were booked for, even though he turned up at 7:45 when the collection times were 7am-7pm lol.

From now on I will use a drop off service like collect + or My hermes. I'd always prefer to pack up, print labels then take to a shop in the car 5 minutes away than wait in all day for some preek who never turns up.

Sent another bottom end off the other day weighing 13kg insured and drop off collection at local one stop for £9.60. Would have been the same price if they collected lol.

I'm using them to send my ktm engine off, already pissed off on the price and the fact they can't give a better time other than 9-5! Wouldn't be too fussed but had to pay £90 odd to send it mainly for insurance if they lost it, only caught a glimpse of the price as I pressed pay...

pft, paid it now! It said £18 so I thought sweet. Then it says basically if it goes missing I'm only covered up to £50, so you pay and extra £60 for insurance (sold for £1300 so like **** am I risking that) then they stick vat on it. And ebay have stitched me up with their ****ing fees, load of ****!

Yeah ebay fees are a joke and getting worse. 10% of postage fees are now charged. So you end up out of pocket. Thats criminal! But people will pay it and theres nothing you can do. Just have to remember when listing to cover all the fees in the price of the item. Thats what i intend to do. Hope it all goes well for you mate and take it as a learning experience. Calculate ebay fees and avoid parcel2go!

I know i will!

If you're a business does ebay cover your taxes? Or do you have to pay more tax against your earnings? If not then that would explain why ebay charges such fees to cover taxes and shït but i doubt it and that makes it a right rip off. Good to buy from but a nightmare to sell.

Lol no way pedro! Tax is completely different. Ebay offers dicsounts to power sellers and businesses but you pay your tax at the end of the year when you file your tax return. Ebay is becoming a less viable means of business as time goes on and yet there are many many people making lots of money out of it.

That's a shame. Cause eBay keeps a vast amount data about what you sell. How much for etc. i would say the peices for sales is extortionate unless it included all the taxes you need to pay.

yeah man they could offer such a better service and should for the money they are making out of people. try getting in contact with them. Its a bit like parcel 2 go. You cant without being a private detective for their phone numbers. its all "FAQ" sections to avoid the costs of call centres. If you do have a problem with a seller they go "you 2 sort it out for 30 days and then we'll tell the seller to refund whatever the problem is"

I prefer calling Three UK in India when i have a problem with my phone, atleast they sort the problem even if they speak less english than brick.

Just to clear a few things up guys...

I'm not backing Parcel2go in any way when I say this...

I've used couriers for over 2 years now, on a daily basis. Parcel2go, interparcel, parcelmonkey only make the booking with the chosen courier service.

From experience:

1) Yodel - CRAP. Never turn up even when booked via their website.
2) MyHermes/Collect+ - CRAP. Damaged goods, lost, broken, smashed, do I need to say more?
3) TNT - CRAP. Same again, they smash your parcels up good and proper.
4) DHL - SO - SO. Hit and miss with collections, nothing broken tho.
5) Parcelforce/Royal Mail - I don't use just for the fact one of their staff at the sorting office stole a 1Tb HDD out of the packaging and palmed it off to me. I claimed and they refused. NEVER EVER USE THEM not even for letters (email lol)

Finally - 6) CityLink - Used these guys for over 2 years and not a single problem. Know the driver for our area and he always comes after 10am (knows I'm a lazy git)

Like with most things in life, you get what you pay for. For the sake of £2 extra use CityLink or UPS.

Havnt tried city link personally. Cant stand the driver. I know most of the drivers around here as i used to work on the backdoor of a supermarket and they would all be there at various points throughout the day. The funniest of those was the UKmail guy who ( obviously ironically wasnt uk ( none of them are)), locked himself inside the back of the van with the keys and somehow managed to pass them out to me through the damaged bent door!

Never had a problem with myhermes / collect plus as of yet and always go for the insurance on it anyway. Once it goes wrong ill change. I like being able to drop off as I dont want to wait in all day for people. I'm about to go and drop a collect plus off now in fact. £5.38 with discount code of 13% and also £1.50 quidco cashback. bargain for 3-5kg.

It's funny go online and search for city link reviews - pretty much all say they are utter crap.

But like said I rate them highly - ish. Only had a few probs and they were all rectified
