just a thought the wjite plug that goes to the solenoid all them wires are live i would of thought one of them would be earthed?

when you swped the engines. did the new engine come with a generator on it or you have usedthe old one? have you got a multimeter to mesure ohms? look into haynes for the numbers. if you dont have one i will look for you later on

basically i had the whole bike and swapped it all on too my new frame evrything worked before i changed it all over lol

oh so you didnt change the engine. well i guess check all grounds, and the ground where the coil is mounted. maybe there is some rust where the coil is mounted, clean that up

is that the only one the coil one as the earth on battery leads comes of engine i havent touched that so i cant see that being it?

no what i mean is the coil itself its mounted on the frame, make sure there is good contact beetween the coil and the frame,

i know its bin a while but on the solenoid the startor wire if i try earth it theres nothing this is with ignition on and pressing electric start button should it be sparking???

baisicaly if the ignition is on and the engine is spinning the pulse its sent from the generator providint the cdi is working it should than get the electicity onto the coil and than spark. remover the sparkplug cap and try to just check the spark with the wire on its own. if than it still dsnt work. i will say just remove the whole loom etc and put it back on propaly making sure everything is connected the way it should be.

that will take you around 1hour to do but at least you will be sure everything is connected propaly and you can clean up all the ground connectors. there is one on the engine and going from the engine into the loom, another one on the reg recifier and 1 more on the coil.

please delete got it running one of the wires from kill switch wiring had melted lol thanks for all help
