on a dtr the over flow bottle goes at the back wear the oil tank is on a 06. you could make a little bottle but i dont think its needed just check your coolant evry nown and then

not my info but relevant :

A small amount of coolant will be forced into the the reservoir as the engine reaches operating temperature. Remember that as something heats up it expands. This reservoir is actually an expansion tank so the coolant has someplace to go when it expands. There are hot and cold level markings on this tank. If the coolant remains between this low cold marking and the high hot marking this is normal operation and nothing is wrong.

This reservoir will also have an overflow tube. If the engine starts out at the low cold marking when the engine is cool but the coolant completely fills this expansion reservoir and starts pushing coolant out the overflow, this is usually the sign of a blown cylinder head gasket.

remember having this bottle gives an indicator of potentially other engine issues

food for though. i wouldnt run it without- do it properly instead of bodging it- you'll be grateful in the end when done properly
